Photo Submission Tips

1. Edit your images before submitting. Sending in multiple copies of the same image or similar images is not a successful technique. Edit to your single best image of a subject.

 

2. Ask for opinions from other photographers/students

 

3. Consider the stopping power of your images when submitting pictures. In photography contests, judges will be stopped by powerful images just as readers are. Look for pictures with good actions, reactions and emotions, interesting lighting, peak action, unusual and different situations and storytelling moments.
