American Council on Education
- The major coordinating body for all the nation's higher education institutions which seeks to provide leadership and a unifying voice on key higher education issues and to influence public policy through advocacy, research, and program initiatives. The web site includes the Higher Education Information Center with information and data on a variety of higher education topics.
NAFSA: Association for International Educators
- Promotes all aspects of exchange of students and scholars to and from the United States. It also upholds standards of good practice and provides professional education and training that strengthen institutional programs and services related to international educational exchange.
National Center for Education Statistics (NCES)
- NCES is the primary federal entity for collecting and analyzing data that are related to education in the United States and other nations. It publishes the Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System (IPEDS ), a system of surveys designed to collect data from all primary providers of postsecondary education.

- Provides research data, statistical information, resources, and a variety of publications dedicated to the area of international education.
NAFSA Section on US Students Abroad (SECUSSA)
- The focus of SECUSSA is on U.S. students abroad and developing workshops and sessions for national and regional NAFSA Conferences, assessing the need for publications that will assist SECUSSANs in their work and coordinating with NAFSA to facilitate such publications, maintaining SECUSS-L: an electronic means of information sharing , working with colleagues in NAFSA and other professional organizations to ensure that issues facing SECUSSAns are addressed in the broadest manner possible, coordinating programs that will assist in the professional development of SECUSSAns.

The Forum on Education Abroad
- The mission of the Forum is to promote the greater good of the field of education abroad, without fear or favor of any one group or particular constituent. The Forum provides services and outcomes that are currently not being met by any other existing organization.
National Database for Research into International Education
- The National Database for Research into International Education, sponsored by AEI - The Australian Government International Education Network, contains details of over 2440 books, articles, conference papers and reports on various aspects of international education from publishers in Australia and overseas. The database includes links to online documents where possible and links to a range of organisations and publishers involved in international education.
