North Korea in Transition: Politics, Economy, and Society: February 22-March 8, 2019

The current detente between the U.S. and North Korea is a welcome change. Yet will it prove to be more than just a fleeting moment? Many say North Korea will never give up its nuclear program. Are we just seeing more of the same? Or do we have a historic opportunity to make real change? This series brought together distinguished experts in the fields of policymaking and international relations to discuss challenges and possible areas of collaboration. Reaching beyond politics, this talk series also invited leading scholars in academic and cultural exchnages with North Korea to reflect on how non-political engagements can help North Korea's integration into international society.
