Biography
Katherine Carlitz teaches courses on Chinese religion, law, and gender issues in the Departments of Religious Studies and East Asian Languages and Literatures. Her research interests are Chinese fiction and drama, and the way religion, law, and gender are represented in literature.
As Assistant Director for Academic Affairs in the Asian Studies Center, she administers faculty and student fellowship and grant programs, and advises graduate students in the Asian Studies certificate program and IDMA in East Asian Studies.
