Biography
Diana Wood's primary duties have involved coordinating East Asia teacher seminars in West Virginia, Maryland, Washington, D.C., Delaware, and Pennsylvania, as part of the National Consortium for Teaching About Asia. Other responsibilities include the Pitt in China program, the Chinese for Professionals program, and the distance learning initiative.
Her primary research interests are religion and pilgrimage in China and East Asia's proper position within world history courses. Professionally, Diana is most interested in fostering a commitment to teaching concerns within the Asian studies community and encouraging pre-collegiate teachers to deepen their commitment to Asia. Her outside interests focus on music and family, which includes two dogs, Buddy and Brady.
