Financial AidPlease see the sidebar to the right for additional information. 2008-2009 Scholarships and FellowshipsCurrent as well as prospective students in Asian studies at the University of Pittsburgh are eligible to apply for a variety of scholarships and fellowships. These awards are administered directly by the Asian Studies Center for full-time undergraduate and graduate students concentrating on East Asia and enrolled in an approved degree and certificate program. Students are encouraged to contact their departments for information on other scholarships, fellowships, and assistantships that may be administered separately. EligibilityAll recipients of scholarship aid administered by the Asian Studies Center must be enrolled in an approved course of study at the University of Pittsburgh leading to a bachelor's, master's, or doctoral degree. Both prospective and current students may apply, but all must enroll in the undergraduate or graduate Certificate Program in Asian Studies at the University of Pittsburgh. Students who have already earned the graduate Certificate in Asian Studies and are pursuing further graduate work in Asian studies may also apply. Other requirements or special conditions may govern eligibility for specific awards. For details, see the description of awards under "Related Info" at right. DeadlineThe deadline for receipt of scholarship and fellowship applications is Monday, February 2, 2009 except where indicated under specific awards.
