Forty Years of Excellence in Training and Scholarship in Latin American Studies, 1964-2004 (conference program )
The Center for Latin American Studies (CLAS) at the University of Pittsburgh is celebrating 40 years of excellence in training and scholarship. As one of the premier centers for the study of Latin America and the Caribbean, CLAS has had a far-reaching and academically critical impact on research and training in Latin American Studies, nationally and internationally. On December 3 and 4, 2004, we are hosting a conference on current approaches to training and scholarship in areas of Latin American Studies. Presenters and discussants will include distinguished CLAS alumni, faculty, students, and invited guests. We hope to welcome many alumni, faculty, and friends back to Pittsburgh on December 3 and 4. The conference will be webcast on our website both synchronously and asynchronously. For further information about the conference or accommodations, please contact Colleen McCafferty via email (cmcc@ucis.pitt.edu) or phone (412-648-7391).
All panels will be held in the Kurtzman Room, William Pitt Union, University of Pittsburgh
