Foreign Language and Area Studies Fellowships are available to graduate students for the intensive study of Portuguese, an Amerindian language, or advanced Spanish during the summer. The fellowships provide full tuition and fees for the course (maximum of $5,000) and a stipend of $2,500. These fellowships are funded under Title VI of the U.S. Education Act; only U.S. citizens or permanent residents are eligible to receive the awards.
