Hybrid Intermediate Russian Language Course

The two-semester Hybrid Intermediate Russian Language Courses take place during the Fall 2014 and Spring 2015 semesters and are available to both University of Pittsburgh students and ROTC students at any other US college or university via video-conference.  The courses combine two evening class meetings per week with online content to fit ROTC students’ demanding schedules.

For Pittsburgh-Area Students
University of Pittsburgh students as well as students from Pittsburgh-area colleges and universities other than Pitt, who may cross-register for Pitt courses through the Pennsylvania Council on Higher Education (PCHE) program, will take the Hybrid Intermediate Russian Language Courses in a traditional classroom setting on Pitt’s campus.

For Students at Other Locations
Pitt Project GO students enrolled in colleges and universities at other locations throughout the US will be able to join Pitt’s specially tailored intermediate-level hybrid Russian language courses via video-conference.  A Russian instructor at Pitt will lead biweekly live class sessions, supervise online exercises, and work individually with each student to identify and overcome their specific weaknesses. Because the hybrid intermediate course option is specially designed to fit the three-level training sequence for Pitt Project GO scholarship recipients, this innovative offering will give ROTC cadets from across the country the same access to this highly attractive scholarship program as their counterparts in Pittsburgh.
