Flooding in Bosnia and Serbia

More than 1,000,000 people have been affected by the recent floods in Bosnia, Serbia, and Croatia. The floods are the worst in recorded history in the Balkans and the destruction caused has been described as comparable to the 1992-1995 war.

Our hearts go out to those in the region who are struggling during this difficult time. Supplies of essential goods are short and parts of the region’s already highly stressed infrastructure are in ruins. For those in the REES community and elsewhere who would like to make a donation to assist in disaster relief efforts, we have provided two separate links to relevant Red Cross sites.
