Pitt Project GO Fellowships

The University of Pittsburgh’s Project GO fellowships are open to ROTC students from any US college or university. These fellowships provide an excellent opportunity for students to gain the equivalent of three years of Russian language training and a total of 13 weeks (5 in Moscow, 8 in Samara) of study abroad experience. Fellowship awardees will receive:

  • Full tuition scholarships for the Summer Language Institute (SLI) Beginning Russian 5+5 or Pitt-only program (Summer 2013) and the 8-week Advanced Russian program in Samara (Summer 2014)
  • Stipends to offset living and travel expenses during the Summer 2013 Beginning Russian program and the Summer 2014 8-week Advanced Russian program
  • One-year subscription to Carnegie Speech Company’s web-based SpeakRussian program to supplement Intermediate Russian coursework with interactive, personalized training in speaking, listening and reading skills during Academic Year 2013-14

Receipt of the full three-consecutive-level award is contingent on maintaining grades of B or higher in the Beginning (Summer 2013) and Intermediate (Academic Year 2013-14) courses.
