 Bosnia: We Are All Neighbors

This film was made by anthropologist Tone Bringa who conducted extensive research in Bosnia and Herzegovina, in a Muslim/Catholic village near the capital, Sarajevo during the recent war.

Through interviews with members of both religious groups, during a period of eight weeks, the film explores issues of identity and ethnic politics, in particular the changes brought about by the Bosnian war.

Note the uses of history in this film, for example the references to "Chetniks." Also note how it is useful to know some of the history of Bosnia & Yugoslavia in order to understand the recent war: the fact that Croatia annexed most of Bosnia during WW II, as well as the fact that Croats and Muslims did live together peacefully until this war encroached on their territory.
