Zachary Kimes

ZACHARY KIMES is the academic advisor for undergraduate students in the ESC certificate programs. He is pursuing his PhD in Political Science from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. His dissertation project focuses on the relationship between necessity and revolutionary political action in the thought of Hegel, Marx, Badiou, and Žižek. Zach’s other areas of research include: historical and contemporary political theory, Marxism, and the critical theory of the Frankfurt School. He is a native of Mercer, PA and received his BA in Political Science and Critical Social Studies from Hobart College and his MA in Political Science from the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
