Syposium Program
On November 2, 2012 the EUCE/ESC will host the next Jean Monnet Symposium on the French Elections, the new French government, and its implications for the European Union. Organized by Dr. John Keeler, Dean GSPIA with participation from Professor Jolyon Howorth, Yale University; Professor Pascal Perrineau, Sciences Po; and Professor Martin Schain, New York University.

Dr. John Keeler
John Keeler is Dean of the University of Pittsburgh's Graduate School of Public and International Affairs. He is the former Director of the Center for West European Studies and European Union Center of Excellence (Title VI) and professor of Political Science at the University of Washington at Seattle. His research and teaching interests include comparative public policy, EU politics, transatlantic relations, American foreign policy.
Professor Jolyon Howorth
Jolyon Howorth is Jean Monnet Professor of European Politics ad personam and Emeritus Professor of European Studies at the University of Bath (UK). He has been a Visiting Professor of Political Science at Yale since 2002. Since 2008, he has been Visiting Professor of Political Science and International Affairs, dividing his teaching between the Political Science Department, the Jackson Institute and EP&E.

Professor Martin Schain
Martin Schain is Professor of Politics at the Wilf Family Department of Politics at New York University. Professor Schain's areas of interest and research include:Comparative politics; American politics; European politics; center-periphery relations; trade unions and politics; immigration and party politics in France.

Professor Pascal Perrineau
Pascal Perrineau is Director of the Centre for Political Research at Sciences Po (CEVIPOF), where his main fields of research are the analysis of electoral behaviour and the study of extreme-right wing forces in France and in Europe. Dr. Pascal Perrineau is also a full Professor at Sciences Po where he lectures on political behaviour and attitudes, political forces in France and in Europe, etc.
