Program | Location | Papers | Picture Gallery | Previous Year

The Challenge for Europe: Governance, Economics and Multiculturalism
Saturday, October 21, 2006
University of Pittsburgh

The second Graduate Student Conference on the European Union is organized by graduate students at the University of Pittsburgh. We aspire to build upon the long tradition of quality in European studies in Pittsburgh. Most importantly, however, we hope it will become an important new forum for graduate students with diverse interests and backgrounds to discuss their research with each other and with faculty in their field. In the process, we hope it will help build strong relationships.

We are grateful to the European Union Center of Excellence at the University of Pittsburgh for providing logistical and financial support. In particular, we would like to thank Professor Alberta Sbragia, the Director of the Center, for her encouragement and for making the resources of the Center available. We would also like to thank Dr. Thomas Allen, the Center's Graduate Studies Advisor, for providing guidance and consultation.

The Organizing Committee:
Melissa Parker, chair
Lena Surzhko-Harned
