European Union, covers multiple topics, including a brief description, economy, origins, a partial bibliography and liks to external sources. Is also available in multiple languages (more than 60 by Dec, 2005).
The European Union Portal, it is organized in five sections: Intro (which point to the previous link), Featured Article (which is changed regularly), Featured Picture (also dynamic), Member States and a Category listing (wich includes topics such as: History, Agencies, Education, Sports and others).
