Information About Outreach

Outreach Programs

The EUCE/ESC sponsors outreach programs and initiatives aimed at the kindergarten to 12th grade (K-12) community, the post-secondary community, and the general public as part of its mission. These programs and initiatives are carried out in large part with the support of a U.S. Department of Education Title VI grant

K-12 – EUCE/ESC sponsors a variety of events and resources for K-12 students and teachers including Model EU and Model UN simulations, and Act 48 credit-bearing teacher development workshops.

Post-Secondary – EUCE/ESC offers the University of Pittsburgh and regional faculty and students the opportunity to participate in various Europe-related development workshops, research symposiums, simulations, conferences, lectures and film series.

General Public – A majority of EUCE/ESC lectures and programs are open to the general public.  The Center also works with external institutions and organizations to bring the Center’s resources to the regional community.
