EUCE/CWES Resources for Research
As part of its mission to promote the study and understanding of Europe and the European Union, the EUCE/ESC is pleased to provide access and information on resources for conducting research on Europe and European integration. This page is provided as a result of the appointment of Dr. Alberta Sbragia as Jean Monnet Professor ad personam, a designation by the European Commission.
Archive of European Integration
The Archive of European Integration (AEI), created in February 2003, is an online repository and archive for research materials on the topic of European integration. The AEI contains full text, freely accessible copies of materials from two categories: independently-produced materials such as working and policy papers, journals, etc; official European Union documents.
Primary support for the AEI is provided by the University Library System, University Pittsburgh, with additional financial and personnel support from the EUCE/ESC.
This section of the ESC/EUCE's website is targeted at elementary and secondary level instructors (K-12) who are beginning to teach the EU or are interested in integrating EU topics into their curriculum. These pages are organized into the following sections: Curriculum Units, Reference Materials, Teaching Tools, Play Corner, and Foreign Languages.
As a service, this site provides links to a variety of Internet resources. They are organized by country and by topic.
The European Commission supports 10 "European Union Centers of Excellence" at universities throughout the United States, as part of a broader effort to promote people-to-people ties across the Atlantic.
The EU Centers of Excellence promote the study of the EU, its institutions and policies and EU/US relations through teaching programs, scholarly research and outreach activities in their local and regional communities.
The European Union Studies Association (EUSA) is the premier scholarly and professional association, worldwide, focusing on the European Union, the ongoing integration process, and transatlantic relations. Founded in 1988 (and formerly called the European Community Studies Association), EUSA now has almost 1000 members throughout North America, all EU member states, and on all continents, representing the social sciences, the humanities, business and law practitioners, news media, and governments on both sides of the Atlantic.
