Foreign Language and Area Studies (FLAS) Fellowships, 2009
FLAS Fellowships are funded by the U.S. Department of Education with the express intent of promoting the study of a modern, European foreign language within a cultural, scientific, historical, or artistic framework. Fellowships are awarded annually for summer and academic year study. Summer awards must be used for intensive language study, while academic year awards may be used for required coursework or dissertation research.
