Wolfgang F. Schlör

Born and raised in Germany, Wolfgang is trained as a political scientist. Before assuming his current administrative position, he has been involved with international affairs as a scholar, teacher and project manager. While his responsibilities extend to all academic aspects of international studies at the University of Pittsburgh, he is particularly interested in using information technology to advance teaching, research and outreach. Wolfgang is an avid railroad buff and amateur expert on techno and hip-hop music.

Mark's academic background merges Russian Literature with Information Technology to support his current interest in international information resources. In addition to managing the project, serving as GIANT's database administrator, and writing much of the code to make the information repository available over the Internet, Mark also co-edits REESWeb, the Virtual Library for Russian & East European Studies. In his spare time, Mark enjoys travelling, watching movies, attending the Pittsburgh Symphony, and watching just about any spectator sport.
