Heinz Fellowship

A non-degree program, the Heinz Fellowship program, established in 1982 by an endowment from the H.J. Heinz Company Foundation, is granted to individuals from developing countries who demonstrate potential as future leaders in the public, government, non-profit, or private sectors. Heinz Fellows attend selected courses at the University of Pittsburgh and participate in practical professional activities while based in Pittsburgh for one year. The goal is to improve, early in a career, the Fellows' capacity to contribute to the development of their home countries in the areas of sustainable development, governance, public health, and/or conflict resolution; and to enhance their understandings of the United States. Participation in the Heinz Fellowship program does not earn credit towards any academic degree. Read more about the Fellowship and application requirements.

Malmberg Fellowship

The Carl Malmberg Fellowship Program, administered by the Global Studies Program at the University Center for International Studies, provides support for two terms of non-degree educational and professional experiences at the University of Pittsburgh for individuals from Lesotho who show potential as future leaders in education, public administration, social work, and public health.
