Yes Established in 1956 by Dr. Larimer and Mrs. Gwen Mellon, Hospital Albert Schweitzer serves a rural population of approximately 285,000 in Haiti’s central Artibonite Valley. It is an integrated health service, incorporating a 200 bed hospital, a network of health centers and dispensaries, as well as community-based services in health promotion, disease prevention and economic development.
