Model United Nations at Your SchoolThis workshop is designed to assist high school faculty to prepare their students to participate in Model United Nations Simulations. The workshop is approved for five (5) Act 48 hours. Lunch will be provided. Morning session will begin with an introduction to the United Nations (UN) as an international organization; providing background information to include: Afternoon session will focus on current issues of the UN that are most relevant to Model UN Simulations: The workshop will close with participants not only learning the rules of debate, but how to teach them to their students. Amy Langham and Dan Giovannelli will facilitate the workshop. Ms. Langham is the Executive Director of Global Solutions Education Fund Pittsburgh. She has over 10 years experience in Model UN training, coaching and organizing. Mr. Giovannelli participated in Model UN for over 5 years as a delegate. Currently he is the staff advisor to the University of Pittsburgh undergraduate Model UN Club.
