The Indo-Pacific Council at the University of Pittsburgh coordinates study and research in all parts of Asia outside of East Asia. Its main foci are in South Asia, Southeast Asia and the Pacific Islands.

INPAC coordinates and promotes the scholarly activities of faculty members and students who are engaged with or interested in the broader Asia area, enhancing teaching and research on the Indo-Pacific region throughout the University, and furthering the goals of the University Center for International Studies, the Asian Studies Center (ASC) and the Global Studies Program.
