Fulbright Fellowship to Europe

ProfRon Lindenessor Ron Linden, the director of Pitt’s European Studies Center, has been awarded a Fulbright Fellowship under the Fulbright-Schuman Program for Europe. The Fellowship, which takes effect during spring 2017, will enable him to work on a project entitled The Rippling Pond: The Impact of EU-China Economic Ties on EU Foreign Policy. Professor Linden will spend three months in Italy, hosted by the Instituto Affari Internationali in Rome, andthree months at the EU-China Research Center at the College of Bruges, Belgium. 

Additionally, Professor Linden, who is an expert in international politics and East Europe, has been designated a DAAD/AICGS Fellow by the American Institute for Contemporary German Studies (AICGS) based in Washington, DC. The Fellowship program is sponsored by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD). The AICGS works to strengthen the American-German relationship by analyzing developments and trends in Germany, Europe, and the United States.
