New Chair for UCIS BOV

Bryant J. Salter (Arts & Sciences, '71) chaired his first UCIS Board of Visitors meeting in February of 2013.
UCIS is pleased to announce that Chancellor Mark A. Nordenberg has selected Bryant J Salter as the new chair of the UCIS Board of Visitors. Prior to his graduation from Pitt Mr. Salter was a standout in track and football and subsequently played in the NFL. Following professional football, Mr. Salter earned a Masters Degree from Harvard University's Kennedy School of Government and had a distinguished career in the US Foreign Service, serving in the State Department's Bureaus of Latin American/Caribbean Affairs and African Affairs for over 20 years. Since leaving the Foreign Service, he has provided consulting services to both governments and the private sector. His company, Business Diplomacy Consulting, helps clients to develop international business opportunities
Mr. Salter replaces longtime Board of Visitors Chair David Barnes, who served in that capacity since 1993.
