UCIS organizes a substantial number of conferences, colloquia, and forums on international issues that are open to the public. Through the Pitt Informal Program, UCIS associates offer non-credit seminars and courses for adults on international issues. UCIS also offers many community-based lecture and cultural programs by partnering with organizations as diverse and varied as the Senator John Heinz Regional History Museum, the Society for Contemporary Crafts, the Pittsburgh Children's Museum, the Manchester Craftsmen's Guild, Phipps Conservatory and the Carnegie Museum of Art, to name a few. UCIS also has strong ties to regional ethnic communities and often collaborates to develop community festivals, art exhibits, film series and musical performances.
