2013 NCTA Seminar at Bucknell University

"East Asia: A Seminar for Teachers"

In Spring of 2013, Mary Rice will lead the seminar: "East Asia: A Seminar for Teachers" at Bucknell University in Lewisburg, PA.

This content -rich seminar is for public and private school teachers of grades K-12 as well as school librarians who are able to include East Asia into their teaching. The 36-hour seminar will explore the geography, history, economics, politics, philosophy, art, literature, languages, and cultures of China, Japan, and Korea. It will include engaging lectures by Bucknell faculty, as well as time for group discussion of teaching materials and strategies for classroom teaching.
