The soprano, Liliana Anastosova was born 29 April 1922 in Turgovishte. In 1945 she graduated from the State Academy of Music as a student of Georgi Cherkin. Additional vocal studies were with Christo Brambarov.

In 1947 she was accepted as a member of the new Varna Opera. Her 1947 debut in Varna was as Butterfly. In 1957 she toured Korea, China and Viet-Nam with a group of Bulgarian musicians.

A winner of the prestigious Dimitrov Prize she was a regular guest at the Sofia National Opera and other opera houses in Bulgaria.

Roles in her career included Tosca, Santuzza, Tatyana, Amelia, Elvira, Lisa and Leonora in Trovatore.
