Panorama is an independent Russian news gathering agency and think-tank. Since 1989, it has been focused on the rise the extreme nationalism in Russia. The site includes access to their journal, also titled "Panorama", and to their comprehensive reports about political extremism and nationalism. Site is primarily in Russian, with some sections also in English.

The EastWest Institute is a U.S. NGO with close connections to the government. Its mission is "to defuse tensions and conflicts that threaten geopolitical stability while building democracy, free enterprise and prosperity in Central and Eastern Europe, Russia and other states of Eurasia." The Web site details its programs, gives access to many publications in PDF format, to reports on its projects and meetings, and to a collection of Web links (community development, democratic institutions, economics, security issues) with good annotations. SCOHOST, Stockholm Centre on Health of Societies in Transition is a network of researchers in the greater Stockholm area, with the purpose to monitor and analyze social and health trends in Central and Eastern Europe, in particular developments in Russia and in the countries of the Baltic Sea region. Bard College offers undergraduate study in Saint Petersburg, Russia through a joint-venture with Smolny College at Saint Petersburg State University. There is also a new program for study at Central European University in Prague, Czech Republic. Site is in English

Website of the American-Russian Chamber of Commerce & Industry (ARCCI), a non-profit organization promoting trade and investment between the United States, Russia, and other countries of the former Soviet Union. Founded in 1992, the ARCCI is headquartered in Chicago, IL,. Site gives access to several online publications on the Russian economy and Russian businesses, information about the organization's mission, its supporters, and events. European University at St. Petersburg, providing information about their programs for foreign students. Graduate courses are offered to students wishing to expand on their knowledge of Russia or the CIS. Courses are taught in English by Russians with advanced degrees from American and European institutions. Coursework is also offered in Art History. Site is in Russian and English.

Institute for the Study of Conflict, Ideology and Policy "focuses on transitional societies in crisis, especially Russia and other post-Soviet states, paying particular attention to destabilizing factors of a political, ethnic, and/or international nature." Site includes access to the Institute's quarterly journal "Perspective," which offers analysis of current events in Russia and the former Soviet states. In English

ChemNet from Chemistry Department of Moscow State University features over 2000 webpages in English and Russian, including a couple of online chemistry journals.

The Amherst Center for Russian Culture (ACRC) is a large collection of archives, chiefly dealing with emigre literature during the post-Revolution diaspora. It includes the archives of luminaries like Zinadia Gippius and Andrei Remizov, as well as other lesser-known figures.
