Operations during COVID 19

During the COVID-19 pandemic, the staff of the Center for African Studies is working in person and remotely in compliance with the University of Pittsburgh's policy, as outlined at emergency.pitt.edu between the hours of 8:30am and 5pm. To the extent possible, operations continue as normal, facilitated by electronic communications and in person when available.

Our Associate Director, Dr. Macrina Lelei, is in the office from 9am -- 5pm Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays, and works remotely on Thursdays and Fridays.
Our academic advisor, Dr. Anna-Maria Karnes, is in the office Mondays, Tuesdays, and Fridays from 9am - 5pm and works remotely on Wednesdays and Thursdays. 
In most cases, email is the best way to contact our staff. Please direct general questions to Melissa Tabak, the Administrative Assistant at mst44@pitt.edu.
