Mike is the Graduate Advising Assistant at the Center for African Studies. He is on track to earn an M.P.I.A. in Security & Intelligence Studies from GSPIA, as well as an African Studies certificate. Mike is responsible for recruiting students to certificate, internship, and study abroad programs, as well as coordinating events at the Center for African Studies.
Mike earned a B.A. in History from Saint Michael's College, where he embarked on a study trip to Senegal. Senegal's vibrant culture inspired him to focus a portion of his senior thesis on topics related to Africa. After teaching middle school Humanities and coaching college cross-country for a year each, Mike enrolled in GSPIA this past fall to prepare for a career focused on African security.
