1989: Year of Revolutions

1989 changed everything. It opened the door to German re-unification, the European Union, the enlargement of NATO, globalization, two decades of a U.S. superpower, political realignments in Latin America and Africa, and the rise of Asia. This series will explore the impact and global legacies of the Cold War thirty years after the iron curtain fell.
