EURO Challenge

EURO Challenge –Euro Challenge is a national competition for cash prizes where 9th and 10th grade high school students test their knowledge and understanding of the European economy and the Euro, the currency shared by many of the 27 countries of the European Union.

On March 29, 2011, Baldwin, Elizabeth Forward, North Allegheny, Moon, Taylor Allderdice, and Trinity High Schools came to the University of Pittsburgh to compete in EURO Challenge.  Baldwin and North Allegheny teams place first and second at the competition.  They will be heading to New York to compete against other schools in the region.  We would like to thank every one for participating in EURO Challenge this year, and thank those who helped us sponsor the event: Global Solutions Pittsburgh, W!SE NY, The International Business Center, and The EU Delegation to the United States.  We would also like to thank our judges, Mark Pituch (EU Delegation) , Pedro Amaral (Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland) and Jacqueline Saslawski (IBC).
