Gianpaolo Baiocchi discusses his new book, We, the Sovereign: Radical Futures, which draws from his work with social movements from Latin America, Southern Europe, and other parts of the world to examine how popular struggles are creating new forms of democratic participation aimed at making political parties and state institutions instruments of social emancipations.
