There has been widespread misunderstanding of the relationship between child sexual abuse and the schooling of girls. While Development literature has shown that education reduces early marriage, it fails to account for the aspect of schooling where young girls could be sexually abused. Jessica has researched this correlation through a mixed-method approach and will be presenting her findings. The ethical and policy-relevant ramifications of this research are crucial at a time when girls are entering the classroom at higher rates each year, yet without fully understanding how to "ensure her protection and uphold her potential agencyā€¯
