PhD in History (Universidad Iberoamericana-Ciudad de México); BA in History and MA in Cultural Studies (Universidad Javeriana, Colombia). His main areas of research and intervention are the public uses of history and the politics of memory. His works and publications address different forms of historical narrative, such as hymns, commemorative ceremonies, and monuments in Latin American contexsts. He is currently working on "Genealogies of public history in Colombia", a research project that seeks to trace, contextualize, and connect diverse collaborative practices of historical knowledge production in Colombia during the second half of the 20th century.
