In accordance with Carnegie Mellon's 2011 International Film Festival theme, 'Faces of Migration,' CMU presents 'Hanoi-Warsaw'
Desperation is the breeding ground for some of humanity's darkest moments. Mai Anh is a young Vietnamese woman trying to move illegally to Warsaw with her family. However, her desire for a better life comes at a painful cost - she is smuggled across borders, cheated by immoral intermediaries, trailed by police, and forced into the hands of violent foreigners. After all of that, is it still worth it? Directed by Katarzyna Klimkiewicz.
