In accordance with Carnegie Mellon's 2011 International Film Festival theme, 'Faces of Migration,' CMU presents 'Littlerock'

Film Description: When her car breaks down on a sightseeing tour of California, a Japanese student finds herself stranded in the small desert town of Littlerock. Exhilarated by a sudden sense of freedom, she extends her stay in the town better known as a pit stop on the way to the bright lights of LA. She falls into the youth subculture of drugs and sex and alternative rock but amidst the boozy haze, she finds friendship, romance, and the promise of a new home. As she pulls back the layers on this unlikely paradise, she discovers a different America than the one in her dreams. Directed by Michael Ott
