The exhibition 'Mind Space-Maximalism in Contrasts', curated by renowned prof. Gao Minglu will be view for the first time in the USA at University Art Gallery, University of Pittsburgh from February 15 until March 18 2011.

The exhibition will feature the works of four Chinese artists - Zhu Jinshi, Zhang Yu, Lei Hong and He Xiangyu - and will explore MAXIMALISM - the philosophical core of Chinese abstract art and a concept that places emphasis on the spiritual experience of the artist in the process of creation. The Maximalism theory is the Chinese response to Western Modernism and Minimalism, and all works displayed in the show demonstrate the philosophy that 'meaning is always beyond language' and consider the artworks incomplete and fragmented records of daily meditation.

The show will also travel to Dallas, New York and Los Angeles, introducing those who attend to a new realm of art and expression.
