The CMU 2011 International Film Festival: Faces of Migration will give

faces to issues surrounding modern migration through fifteen

award-winning, international films and documentaries, including selections

from China, France, Germany, Greece, India, Israel, Korea, Mexico,

Netherlands, Poland, Romania, United Kingdom and Turkey. The films will

be presented in various venues throughout Pittsburgh, including the

Melwood Screening Room, McConomy Auditorium at CMU's University Center,

and Kelly-Strayhorn Theater, between March 17 and April 10, 2011. Many of the film screenings will also

feature a reception accompanied by food and drink, expert panels with

renowned international directors, cast, or professors, and live

performances to provide an interactive environment and all-encompassing

experience sure to provoke thought, emotion, and lively discussion.

'Faces of Migration' is supported by the University of Pittsburgh along

with a few of its affiliations: the Global Studies Program, German

Department, and The Graduate Program of Cultural Studies at the University

of Pittsburgh.
