The CERIS Undergraduate Research Symposium is designed to provide undergraduate students at CERIS member institutions with research experience and an opportunity to develop presentation skills, as well as to provide recognition of excellent student scholarship. Students will present their research with others from 25 colleges and universities in the tri-state area on topics related to Islamic studies within the arts, sciences, humanities, social sciences and professional disciplines. Papers may pertain to people, politics and policy or religion, and culture and society in historical or contemporary contexts. Think outside the box! Total prizes of up to $500 will be awarded. Paper submission deadline is March 27, 2011.
