Dr. Soren Fanning will focus on the relevancy of Middle Eastern culture after the end of World War I. The second half of the workshop will place a large focus on the current events in the area, including the Arab Spring demonstrations, and how to address cultural misconceptions, as well as suggestions and strategies for teaching these concepts. Curricular materials will be provided. This workshop is being offered for 3 Act 48 continuing education credits,. Workshop will be held during the University of Pittsburgh’s Model United Nations Conference.
