Joel Chrispo Dumba comes from the Republic of South Sudan, a newly born country which got its independence on July, 9th 2011 after being in a civil war which lasted for 21 years. He is an MA student of Social and Comparative Analysis in Education, Department of Administrative and Policy Studies, School of Education University of Pittsburgh.

He has worked with a number of public, bi-lateral, and multilateral organizations in Policy development endeavors, including UNAIDS, UNDP, UNICEF, UNHCR, UNFPA, and The World Bank. Dumba will discuss the critical issues behind the split of Sudan and the development challenges that lie ahead. Please join us for this event, come and learn about Sudan generally and the South Sudan in particular through the eyes of a native of Sudan.
