Studying abroad is not just about travel, it can be a life changing experience. Have you studied abroad and captured photos that
describe that experience? The International Photo Contest is a great way to showcase your photos and encourage your peers to study abroad.
The Office of International Services, the English Language Institute in the Department of Linguistics and the Study Abroad Office are sponsoring the International Photo Contest. This contest is open to current Pitt undergraduate and graduate students only.Contest Information:Starting August 29, 2011 all University of Pittsburgh students are eligible to submit photos about their international educational
experiences (studying abroad or as an international student in the U.S.). All entries must be received by midnight on November 1, 2011.
Below are the categories for photo submissions:
“Life Changing Experience”-Something that you saw or did that changed your perspective on how you see the world
“Cross Cultural Experience”- How you immersed yourself into that culture by wearing, doing, or making something representative of that culture.
“Landscapes & Animals”
“People”
“Culture & Landmarks” – food, clothing, sculptures, statues, monuments or any type of artifacts.
