The Asian Studies Center and the Global Studies Center at the University of Pittsburgh are teaming up with the National Committee on U.S.-China Relations (NCUSCR) to present CHINA Town Hall: Local Connections, National Reflections.

Following an open reception at 7:00 pm, at 8:00 pm, Gary Locke, U.S. Ambassador to China, will give a talk and answer questions via a nationwide live webcast moderated by Stephen A. Orlins of the National Committee on U.S.-China Relations. After the webcast, David Gries, former CIA official and current Executive Director of China Vitae, will be present in Pittsburgh to talk about China's leadership transition-a momentous event that occurs once a decade, and is taking place this year.
