Dr. Smeliansky is a theatre scholar, writer and critic, who has published extensively on Konstantin Stanislavsky, the history of the Moscow Art Theatre, and the literary legacy of Mikhail Bulgakov. He is the Associate Artistic Director of the Moscow Art Theatre, Dean of the Moscow Art Theater School, and a founding director of the joint graduate acting and dramaturgy program between the Moscow Art Theater School and the A.R.T. Institute for Advanced Theater Training at Harvard University.
