Avner Gvaryahu is from Breaking the Silence, an organization of Israeli military veterans whose goal is to expose the Israeli public to the reality of everyday life in the Occupied Territories.
Prof. Rachel Kutz-Flamenbaum is a professor in Pitt's Department of Sociology. She is a social movement scholar who will provide background on Human Rights and Peace Movements in Israel and a discussion of the Israeli Human Rights organization, Machsom (Checkpoint) Watch.
Prof. Jonathan Harris is a professor in Pitt's Department of Political Science. He is a professor for a current course on the US Policy in the Middle East and will provide a historical overview of the conflict.
