Duquesne University's Center for African Studies presents "A Walk to Remember" on April 6th, 2016. Participants will gather beneath the Walk to Remember banner for a brief prayer and a moment of silence before traveling past posters from the Genocide Memorial Museum in Kigali, Rwanda. Posters will feature images and informational passages about Rwanda's history, the genocide, and reconciliation.
The guest lecture will be given by Carl Wilkens, former head of the Adventist Development and Relief Agency International in Rwanda, with responses by Duquesne University Rwandan students.
This event is free and open to the public, and a reception will follow.
