Participating educators (both K-12 and CC/MSI) were required to share a resource they would be using for their unit plan or course module. Each educator provided a short presentation on his/her resource.

Agenda

For the second installment of the 2016 Brussels Study Tour’s Conversations on Teaching Europe, we ask that all participants have a rough outline of their unit plan or course module prepared.

Part I: TeachMeet Presentations
The first part of the videoconference will run like a TeachMeet session. If you aren’t familiar with the format, TeachMeets are informal meetings among educators to share ideas related to teaching resources, strategies, and best practices. TeachMeet sessions have rules! Here are our rules for our session:

1. Each participant will be required to give a micro-presentation (5 minutes max) or a nano-presentation (2 minutes max) on their unit plan/course module and their corresponding resource. You have the choice of how long you’d like your presentation to last.
2. All presentations must be accompanied by one electronic resource that you plan to use for your unit plan or course module. That resource might be an image, photograph, online resource, online tool, document, spreadsheet, etc.
3. Please make sure to email your electronic resource to Kathy Ayers at kma69@pitt.edu 24 hours in advance of the videoconference. She’ll compile the resources in a Google folder and share it with all of the participants on the morning of July 13th so that everyone can access the resources during the TeachMeet presentations.

Part II: Question & Answer Brainstorming Session
Please come prepared with any questions you might have regarding the planning or implementation of your unit plan/course module in order to get feedback and suggestions from the other participants.
